Flagstaff is COOL, literally :)

Got into Flagstaff, AZ after a tough trip from Santa Fe with winds and 7000' to climb up to. The Explorer did OK but it struggled going up mountains and a 30 mph head wind.
It was pushing us around pretty good with the trailer.
Once we got closer the storm front had wind gusts clocked to 50 mph and I believe it.
Some of the street signs were flopping away like a hurricane was around the corner.
We dropped the trailer at the hotel and for the first time since we left last Saturday we didn't have all the dead weight on the back.
Really a nice area but what a temp change from almost 80 degrees on the way up to low 60's yesterday afternoon. The weather was a big change this morning from wearing shorts the day before to this....

Had a bunch of thick snow flurries the first part of the day but it didn't stick. Tomorrow and Friday have a big chance of snow so we might get to try the AWD out on the Explorer real soon coming down off this little hill and back to lower country on the way towards Las Vegas later in the week.

We did get out and check out a few places in the cold and then two really nice museums.
